Our Health Project focuses on preventing diseases, improving hygiene, and ensuring access to essential healthcare services for vulnerable populations. By addressing critical health challenges, we empower communities to lead healthier and more productive lives.
Our Focus Areas
Malaria Prevention and Treatment:
- Malaria is one of the leading causes of illness and death among children in Uganda.
- JCC targets the root causes by:
- Cleaning the environment to eliminate mosquito breeding sites.
- Encouraging the use of treated mosquito nets.
- Ensuring access to life-saving medication for malaria cases.
Hygiene Promotion:
- We educate communities on the importance of sanitation to prevent diseases.
- Initiatives include building proper sanitation facilities and promoting handwashing practices.
Health Awareness Campaigns:
Through community outreach, we teach families about disease prevention, proper nutrition, and accessing medical care.
Challenges
- Lack of sufficient resources to provide adequate mosquito nets and healthcare supplies.
- Limited access to healthcare facilities in rural areas, increasing the risk of untreated illnesses.
Our Vision
JCC is committed to expanding its health programs to reach more children and families. With your support, we can:
- Provide more mosquito nets and medication to prevent and treat malaria.
- Scale up hygiene and health education campaigns.
- Improve access to essential health services in underserved communities.
