Our Story

Together, We Stand to Transform Lives and Build Sustainable Communities.

United Communities Foundation Uganda (UCF) was founded in 2012 with a bold vision: to create a sustainable and self-reliant society. What began as a small communal organization under the name AGALIAMO, focused on fish farming, sanitation, and horticulture, has since grown into a dynamic force for community transformation across Uganda.

In 2014, UCF was officially registered as a Community-Based Organization (CBO), expanding its reach to communities in Kibuku and Budaka districts. With a focus on sustainability, we have embraced systematic approaches that empower individuals and communities to overcome poverty, hunger, and disease through practical skills and sustainable solutions.

Our Mission & Vision

Our Vision

“A sustainable and self-reliant society.”

We envision a future where communities are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and resources to thrive independently.

Our Mission

“To contribute to increased empowerment and income enhancement through improved skills development, human rights advocacy, gender equality, and enterprise management.”

Through hands-on training and community mobilization, we inspire individuals to take charge of their own development, ensuring lasting solutions to the challenges they face.

Our Approach

“Community-Driven Solutions for Lasting Change.”

We believe that the solutions to poverty and hunger lie within the communities themselves. Our approach focuses on:

  1. Capacity Building: Equipping communities with the skills to manage their resources sustainably.
  2. Collaborative Development: Partnering with local leaders, government agencies, and organizations to amplify impact.
  3. Empowerment Through Training: Providing practical, hands-on training in farming, health, and economic empowerment.
